Literati 2015 opens tomorrow

The third edition of Literati 2015 opens tomorrow.

6th November at 5pm, Lake Club, Chandigarh: Chandigarh Literary Societ’s litfest Literati 2015, inauguration with keynote address by Kiran Nagarkar.

Kiran Nagarkar to open Literati 2015

The curtain would rise on the 3rd edition of Literati 2015, the region’s mega literary festival organized by Chandigarh Literary Society (CLS) on 6th November. 

Kiran Nagarkar, who is  world’s 12th ranked novelist, playwright, screenplay writer and critic, would be delivering the inaugural keynote address at 5pm at the Lake Club.

Kiran is a recipient of Germany’s highest civilian award, the Cross of the Order of Merit for his bestseller novels, who has also recently come up with two-in-one book, Bedtime Story, a play, and Black Tulip, a screenplay.

His  Marathi novel Saat Sakkam Trechalis and his English novels  Ravan and Eddie, Cuckold,God's Little Soldier, The Extras and Rest in Peace Ravan and Eddie are amongst his famous works. His novels have been translated into Marathi, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese. While Cuckold won the Sahitya Akademy Award for best novel in 2000, The New York Review of Books in 2012  published a review of Ravan and Eddie in their new e-book series, in which Katherine Boo called it a ‘Wicked, magical, hilarious, enduring: A masterpiece from one of world literature’s great cult writers.’
